Performs chemical processing and batch mixing for the creation of bulk material needed for production and shipping. All processing is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Systems Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Health and Safety requirements.

  • Pre-weigh raw materials and oils for batches, make, chill, filter and color bulk
  • Provide samples to Quality Department to obtain QC approvals
  • Transfer bulk from tanks into totes and drums and manage tank capacity
  • Receive alcohol deliveries
  • Assess supply levels of filters, masks, hoses, and other supplies for compounding activities
  • Manually update tank report and provide input to Data Entry Specialist
  • Calibrate scales
  • Prepare old bulk for destruction, transfer to proper containers
  • Wipe up puddles and keep compounding area clean
  • Get the weekly report of expired raw materials from Data Entry Specialist
  • Move expired raw materials from pre-weigh area to rejected mezzanine area
  • Check physical inventory (once per year)
  • Performs general housekeeping duties within the area
  • Observes company’s safety procedures and policy at all times
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Requirements

  • Preferred 1 year of chemical processing experience or batch mixing in manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills for email and data entry
  • Must read, write and speak in English, and communicate clearly and concisely and perform basic mathematical calculation
  • Able to participate in a team-oriented environment and independent, willingness to assist and train others
  • Ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot process equipment, and make minor adjustments as needed
  • Able to work overtime
