We’re seeking a highly driven, dynamic, motivated Audit Accountant to join our team in Hodgkins, IL.

Ideal candidate is skilled in consolidating financials from acquired firms and has experience auditing manufacturing firms.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in monthly preparation of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, roll-forwards and transaction/account analysis
  • Assist in ensuring that the Company’s consolidated revenues and expenses are correctly reported and classified in accordance with GAAP
  • Interpret accounting standards and recommend accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with implementation of new ERP: Epicor
  • Reconciliation of monthly intercompany activity
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal control process
  • Assist in the annual audit preparation, communicate with auditors and provide documentation as needed
  • Make recommendations for process enhancements
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments from manager as needed
  • Assist and take charge of various special projects, and see them to completion

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in general accounting (public accounting preferred, audit)
  • Experience with consolidating accounting data from recent firm acquisitions including inter-company transactions
  • Experience with auditing manufacturing companies
  • Knowledge of GAAP, accounting rules, regulations, policies, and internal controls
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with automated accounting systems
